About Us

CECAMM, part of the Isle of Wight College, is a £12 million Solent LEP funded Engineering Training Centre. As the Island’s only such facility, CECAMM specialises in educating the next generation of Island engineers.

CECAMM opened in September 2017 and continues to grow. The ethos of CECAMM is to be ‘employer led’ so if you have a training need, please ask us first!

CECAMM supports Island residents and Island businesses by delivering:

  • Full time Further Education course from Foundation (Level 1) to Advanced (Level 3)
  • University of Portsmouth High National Certificate (HNC Level 4) in Mechanical and Electronic Engineering
  • University of Portsmouth Higher National Diploma (HND Level 5) in General Engineering
  • Intermediate Apprenticeships in a variety of sectors/disciplines
  • Advanced Apprenticeships in a variety of sectors/disciplines
  • Higher Level Apprenticeships in Mechanical and Electronic Engineering
  • Public evening courses
  • Bespoke Engineering Training Courses for Employers (example: J-Standard Training programmes)
  • Induction Training for GKN Aerospace and MHI Vestas
